The Solomon Islands Ministry of Health and Medical Services has issued a warning to the public against the use of a toothpaste made in China.

The Solomon Star reports the ministry's move comes after the US Government issued a similar warning.

According to the US Food and Drug Administration, consumers are advised to throw away the toothpaste because it may contain a poisonous chemical used in antifreeze.
