The Solomon Island's Parliamentary Opposition says it supports the Prime Minister for reporting the alleged bribery of one of his ministers to the Police.
The Opposition's Spokesman for Finance and Treasury, Edward Huni'ehu, says the Opposition had discussed the issue and says reporting the matter to Police is a step in the right direction.
But he says it would be immature to accuse the Opposition of the alleged bribery or to say it is corrupt.
The Solomon Island's Broadcasting Corporation quoted Mr Huni'ehu as saying it was questionable why the minister concerned had accepted the money said to have paid to him by an agent of the Opposition group
