The French Rugby Federation has confirmed it will examine the case of France coach Bernard Laporte

Laporte is accused of using abusive and intimidating language in a confrontation with top Australian referee Stuart Dickinson on the eve of the second All Black test in Wellington earlier this month.

Laporte was reportedly furious with Australian Dickinson over his handling of the first Test, which the All Blacks won 42-11.

Laporte, who has coached France since 1999, was today named French sports minister following this year's World Cup tournament.
