A MP in Samoa says police officers, who do not uphold the law, cannot be tolerated.
Patu Ativalu was speaking after complaints of rape were made against an assistant police commissioner.
Mr Ativalu, who is a former police officer, is calling on the police minister to dismiss officers who can't restrain themselves.
"I recommend to the minister of police to do something. If they are not good enough, then why stop sacking them? Sack them all and get new recruits. Police officers are supposed to be disciplined and uphold the law at all times."
Patu Ativalu says police officers who break the law bring shame to the force and the country.
