Solomons' Government officials withdraw search warrant for leading lawyer's office

The office of the Solomon Islands' Attorney General has cancelled the search warrant on the office of the president of the bar association.

This follows a court case challenging the validity of the search warrant executed over the weekend on the office of the association's head Ranjid Hewagema.

An out of court agreement this morning between defence lawyers and the Attorney General's office agreed the warrant would be sent back to the magistrates court for cancellation.

The defence lawyer Ken Averre says it is between his office and the police to sort out all the bar association documents.
