Fiji's Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited has reported a group consolidated net profit after tax of 25-point-3 million US dollars for the financial year ending on March 31st.

This is an increase of almost 19-percent over the profit for the previous year.

ATH chairman, Kanti Tappoo, says the results are particularly significant because they were achieved taking into account the first full year of price reductions ordered by the Commerce Commission in October 2005.

The ATG group of companies comprise Telecom Fiji, Vodaphone Fiji, Connect Fiji, and three others as well a 51-percent shareholding in Fiji International Telecommunications Limited, FINTEL.
