American Samoa's Governor, Togiola Tulafono, plans to submit for Fono review a measure that would provide early retirement incentives for government workers.

The administration submitted a similar bill for Fono consideration in May but it was rejected by the Fono.

The proposed measure calls for all government employees who complete thirty years of service to be offered $20,0000 to retire.

An individual who has served 35 years will be offered $15,000.

The goal is to make retirement more attractive to government employees.
