American Samoa's member of the US Congress, Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin, says he will be in the territory this week and is set to meet local leaders to discuss various issues pertaining to American Samoa.

Among them are the new minimum wage hikes and a bill now pending in Congress that would allow sons and daughters of American Samoa in the military to register with their command post to vote in the gubernatorial and local House races.

The American Samoa Senate President, Lolo Moliga, says it's the Senate's hope that the Congressman will provide a status report on the 16 million US dollars that Congress allocated to American Samoa two years ago for road improvement projects.

The Senate also wants an update on the 2 million dollars set a side by Congress for an air traffic control tower for Pago Pago International Airport.
