Japan and the Asian Development Bank are to provide Palau with assistance to help it improve its economic and infrastructure management.

Technical assistance of around one and a half million US dollars will be available from next month after the signing of a deal during the Pacific Economic Ministers' meeting in Palau.

The money will help Palau update its Master Development Plan and help it write economic policy and with budget management.
