Fiji have scored a huge win at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup qualifying tournament in Dubai.

Fiji captain Josefa Rika scored an astonishing 257 off just 145 balls and bowler Sekope Biauniceva then took 6 wickets for 13 runs in 10 overs as Japan were dismissed for 53 in 19 point 3 overs.

Rika's 257 included 37 fours and six sixes as Fiji reached 423 for eight.

The win is not enough to take Fiji through to the final, after defeat in their previous two matches against Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.

Fiji and Japan will meet again tomorrow in the playoff for third place while Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea will meet to decide the tournament winner.
