Samoa's coconut society of farmers and producers are meeting this week to explain the need for share capital equity to fund its four coconut oil mills.

The society has approved a 700-thousand US dollars or 2-point-6 million tala shares that would be offered to members, based on the number of acres of land a coconut farmer is developing.

The organization proposes to build two mills each in Upolu and Savaii Islands.
