The New Zealand Government will end transit visa fees and reduce other visa fees for Papua New Guinean nationals visiting New Zealand from the end of this month.

The New Zealand High Commissioner to PNG, Niels Holm, says PNG passport holders need a visitor's visa if they enter New Zealand but for tourists, officials and business people, that fee is now 82-dollars US.

He says student visa fees have been cut from 151 US dollars to 123 dollars.

Mr Holm says there is a steady flow of PNG visitors to New Zealand, and it is hoped this will increase further.
