Fiji's national airline, Air Pacific, has reported a 15-percent drop in passenger numbers despite offering discounted fares to stimulate travel.
The airline had earlier projected a 7-percent growth in traffic but its managing director, John Campbell, says this isn't happening.
The discounted fares are also resulting in lower revenue from every seat sold.
The lower sales have also forced Air Pacific to withdraw planned increases in services to Australia and New Zealand.
Only Air Pacific's flights to Vancouver and Los Angeles are doing well.
