Police in Solomon Islands say the Finance Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo is under police protection following reported threats on his life.
The Police Commissioner Jahir Khan told the Solomon Star newspaper that Mr Lilo was being guarded by Solomons police after he sought protection.
The source of the threat was not clear.
