Samoa's TV3 station has been issued a license to operate on a VHF frequency and General Manager Atanoa Herbert Crichton says the license means it can broadcast nationwide.

Atanoa told the Samoa Observer TV3 hopes to have exactly the same coverage area as Samoa Broadcasting Corporation in six to eight weeks time.

He says that when it first launched its television station last year, it applied to have a VHF frequency, however they were given two UHF frequencies which saw very limited coverage. of the islands.

Foreign engineers will soon be installing the three VHF frequencies.

Atanoa says it will be holding on to UHF as all its sites are UHF.
