The price of an international air ticket for any passenger departing from Tonga will increase by $30 pa'aga or 15 US from today.
The cost of a ticket now includes a $5 Security Fee and a $10 Airport Development Fee.
This is in addition to the $12.50 Passenger Service Charge collected upon departure.
An additional $1 security fee will apply to all departing domestic flights.
The Matagi Tonga online reports that Tonga Airports Limited came up with the initiative.
