Fiji's interim prime minister says he will not sack any interim cabinet minister over allegations of tax evasion.

Commodore Bainimarama has told Radio Legend that it would be unfair to make any such decision based on the claims of certain people.

He says he has received unionist Taniela Tabu's letter and forwarded it to the proper authorities.

Meanwhile, the deputy police commissioner, Eroni Antonio, is quoted as saying they will look into the allegations that an interim minister had been evading taxes.

Mr Antonio says met he met with Mr Tabu last week and told him that following police checks on the information provided, they will decide on whether to proceed with investigations or refer the matter to the Revenue and Customs Authority.
