Missionary conference moves to American Samoa later this weeke

6:11 am on 20 August 2007

A church minister in American Samoa says its hoped an inaugural missionary conference will inspire more Samoans to do missionary work abroad.

Reverend Fa'atui Laolagi says at present, not many more Samoan youth want to be involved in this type of work, but its hoped that will change:

"It's a missionary conference involve most of the mainline churches and other christian churches in the island. The reason why is that there are Samoans working in foreign countries, countries have not yet [been] reached by the gospel."

The missionary expo will continue in Samoa for the next few days before moving to American Samoa.
