Fiji's Rabuka fears more coups to come

Fiji's former prime minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, fears the December coup of last year may not be the last one in his country.

Mr Rabuka, who staged Fiji's first coup beginning the trends of several coups, said when he orchestrated the first coup in 1987 he never envisioned it happening three more times.

He has now admitted setting a wrong precedent.

Mr Rabuka has acknowledged that the coups he staged in 1987 and the subsequent ones can never be justified.
