1:50 pm on 3 September 2007

Fiji's interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, says the ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, has nothing to offer to the interim Government.

Mr Qarase flew into Suva over the weekend after nine months on his home island.

After his arrival, Mr Qarase said he was willing to work with the interim administration to return the country to democratic rule.

Commodore Bainimarama told Fijilive that he had wanted dialogue with Mr Qarase for the last six years and he did not want to talk

The Commodore said the interim administration was now fighting against everything the ousted Prime Minister stood for.
