Fiji's Vidhya Lakhan has won another term as President of the South Pacific Games Council.

Mr. Lakhan had been appointed as President when Fiji hosted the Games four years ago.

It's believed to be the first time a president of the Games Council has been

appointed to a second term.

Traditionally the host country's nomination is voted the president but Samoa's candidate was edged by Lakhan by seven votes.
