The report of an inquiry into last year's Fiji general election has made 32 recommendations.

The inquiry was commissioned by the Fiji Human Rights Commission and chaired by veteran lawyer, G P Lala, with the former president of the SVT Party, Taufa Vakatale, as another member.

Copies of the report have been given to the Prime Minister's Office, the SDL party and Fiji Labour Party.

The director of the Human Right's Commission, Dr Shaista Shameem, says the report will only be made public after these parties have responded.

The inquiry team heard submissions around the country before producing its report.
