Police officers in Guam say a gang of young people from Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia is being helped by police officers in crimes including arson, theft and prostitution.

Guam police spokesman, Alan Guzman, has told the Pacific Daily News that youths questioned or apprehended in connection with the crimes have alleged that police officers were involved in some of the crimes.

At least 25 youths have been questioned or arrested.

Three adults who have been arrested are suspected of having sex with girls in the gang in exchange for providing the youths with food and alcohol.
