American Samoa's lieutenant governor, Iuplasi Aitofele Sunia, will enter a not guilty plea

during an arraignment this week at the federal court in Washington D.C.

Ipulasi and territorial senator, Tulifua Tini Lam Yuen, were charged last month with federal crimes relating to the awarding of contracts for the Department of Education.

Ipulasi's defense attorney Lanny Breuer says he will appear for the lieutenant governor's arraignment set for tomorrow and will enter a not guilty plea and will prepare for trial.

Tulifua has already informed the Senate that he plans to enter a "not guilty" plea at tomorrow's hearing.
