President Anote Tong of Kiribati has now begun his first week of office in his second four-year term as President.
In his election campaign he said that one of his top priorities would be to make jobs for the many people seeking paid work.
He says he sees difficulties for young educated people returning from overseas.
"We've got a very number of young people coming out with good education. But unfortunately without employment, because our economy simply cannot provide that employment."
