A Japanese non government organisation Escot plans to recycle old tyres from Palau.
Risong Tarkong, the special assistant to the President of Palau, says the move is part of a two year cooperative effort between the two countries.
Between six and ten-thousand tyres will be removed from a stockpile in Palau in November and shipped to Japan.
