The deposed Fiji prime minister Laisenia Qarase's home province of Lau has thrown its support behind the interim administration's proposed People's Charter.
The chairman of the Lau Provincial Council, Ratu Josefa Basulu, has told the Fijilive news website that the province had met over the issue and decided to back the Charter.
Ratu Josefa says the reason for their support is to move the country forward and adds that he hopes the Charter would bring some changes to government policies.
The Kadavu Provincial Council has also decided the support the Charter.
Its chairman, Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo, says the other 14 provinces should do the same and help move the country forward.
Ratu Josateki says his province has also suggested a number of changes.
Earlier, the former prime minister Sitiveni Rabuka's home province of Cakaudrove had come out in support of the People's Charter.
