Fiji Rugby Union gets bigger grant from IRB

The Fiji Rugby Union will receive just over 388-thousand US dollars grant from the International Rugby Board next year.

The grant is an increase of 29 percent for the expansion of the FRU's development programme and for their outstanding performance at the recent Rugby World Cup in France.

The IRB has increased the development grant to 87-thousand US dollrs taking the grant to nearly 390 thousand dollars.

FRU Chief Executive - Timoci Tavana-vanua says the increase in funding showed that the Union was taking the right pathway in the sport to develop it at all levels.
