The Solomon Islands National Disaster Management Office has launched its annual disaster awareness campaign through local media organisations.
The Director of the office, Loti Yates say the campaign is necessary as the country has again reached the cyclone season.
Mr Yates says this time of the year is always unpredictable and while it may be fine now, it might be different in two to three weeks time.
He says the awareness campaign will involve partners in disaster management such as government departments and non government organizations.
