Despite presiding over New Zeland's worst ever Rugby World Cup campaign Graham Henry has been reappointed All Blacks coach for a further two years.

Henry has headed off challenges from Crusaders coach and former All Blacks assistant coach Robbie Deans who was his main rival, along with the Hurricanes Colin Cooper and the Chiefs Ian Foster.

Acting rugby union chariman Mike Eagle says despite being eliminated from the world cup in the quarter finals, Henry is the right person for the job having won the tri nations title three times and defended the Bledisloe Cup four times in his four year reign.
