Samoa's Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, has dismissed reports that the government plans to delay next year's change from left to the right hand drive vehicles.
This come after unconfirmed reports that in the face of widespread opposition to the switch, the government was going to delay the change planned for next July by 18 months.
But the Prime Minister says this is not true.
"I think that report is subject to misinterpretation. We were proceeding to start the law then certain aspect will be started immediately then others maybe deferred for some months depending on the judgement of the minister in accordance with their own preparation for implementation."
