Papua New Guinea's acting prime minister says it's not planning to deport the Papuan refugees living outside the capital's police station.
The Papuan refugees have been seeking refuge at the police station since the end of October after four of their countrymen were accused of murder.
The refugees had hoped the PNG government was in talks with a third country to resettle them.
But Dr Puka Temu says the government has no plans to resettle them to a third country.
Dr Temu has urged the refugees to leave the police station and return to their previous camp and adds they could be evicted for residing their illegally.
