Manu Samoa has a new head coach to take them through to the Rugby Union World Cup in New Zealand in 2011.

The job has gone to the CEO of Samoa's Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee Tuala Lepale Niko Palamo.

He takes over from part time coach La'auli Michael Jones who resigned after last year's Rugby World Cup in France.

The Samoa Rugby Union chairman and Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, made the announcement after interviewing the final five applicants.

Tuala has coached the country's under 19 team that won the Rugby World Cup B Pool where it was promoted to the Pool A.
