America Samoa's Lieutenant Governor reports Governor's second operation a success

American Samoa's Lieutenant Governor Ipulasi Aitofele Sunia made a special appearance on KVZK-Y-TV last night to report on the Governor's condition following two surgeries in one week.

Ipulasi said the first surgery the governor underwent, an emergency appendectomy on January 6th was initially thought it to be an easy and quick procedure.

But while he was recuperating at the hospital this past Sunday night, the Governor Togiola Governor experienced some complications which required him to undergo a second operation immediately.

Ipulasi said the second operation was a success and the governor is recuperating well.

"According to the attending physician, Governor Togiola's vital sign are stable. He is resting and recovering from both these operations."
