PNG coffee exporter looks to form joint ventures with US and China

A Papua New Guinea coffee exporter is looking to form joint ventures with retail dealers in the United States and China.

Growers Direct Coffee company says it is looking to have 12, 000 retail dealers across the US sell its coffee.

And the company's chief operating officer, Paul Khakshouri, says it will be opening its first café in Shanghai next month under a joint venture with Uncommon Groups Incorporated.

The National newspaper reports discussions are underway for more joint ventures worldwide with retailers, including supermarkets and grocery chain stores.
