Samoa is expecting more than 2 million US dollars or 4.8 million Samoan Tala, from the Chinese government to help improve youth education in the country.
The assistance will be signed tomorrow by China's Ambassador in Apia and Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, through an economic and technical cooperation agreement between the two countries.
A senior officer at the Chinese Embassy says it is up to the Samoan government how to spend the grant which is mainly for infrastructure and school buildings.
The embassy official says Samoa should expect more aid in the future.
Last year, the Chinese government approved a separate grant for the construction of a new primary school in A'ele village.
