Samao fire service warns about prank calls

The Assistant Commissioner of the Samoa Fire Services Authority is appealing to the public to stop making prank fire calls.

Fouina Mupo made the plea after firemen were called out although there was no fire.

He told the Samoa Observer that such prank calls endanger the lives of firemen, members of the public and it's unlawful.

The fire trucks left the station within two minutes of getting the call but when they arrived at the address given, there was no fire.

The matter has been referred to the Police.
