The Cook Islands are on their way to Chile for the inaugural International Rugby Board's Junior World Trophy after beating Papua New Guinea 29-7 in the regional qualifier in Auckland at the weekend.
The Cook Islands scored four tries one each to Tahiri Elikana, Eddie Nicholas, Terrence Glassie and prop Mattew Latham.
Ronnie Maui kicked two penalties with one Aaron Turley.
The Cook Islands led 11-0 at half time and will now take their place alongiside hosts Chile, Uruguay, Georgia, Romania, Namibia, Jamaica and Korea.
The winner of the Chile tournament will graduate to the IRB Junior World Championship in 2009, swapping places with the team who finishes bottom of the 16-team tournament to be held at four regional venues in Wales from 6-22 June.
