Fiji Natural Waters of Viti Limited exports first consignment of water following ruling

Fiji Natural Waters of Viti Limited exported its consignment of 155 containers of bottled Fiji Water yesterday worth about $1 million local dollars to the United States market.

The company was given a brief reprieve by the Lautoka High Court to resume its exports only until the end of January.

But the temporary order to allow the manufacturers of Fiji Water to export its product in February was made by Justice Jocelyn Scutt in the High Court on Friday.

Natural Waters of Viti took the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority to court and filed a judicial review case for blocking its exports last month over price differences in the product's valuation.

The Fiji Times Online reports that both parties also appeared in court yesterday for further arguments in the case.
