The Socialist Association in French Polynesia has called on voters to choose the Union For Democracy in this weekend's second round of an early territorial election.
The Association in Tahiti, which is not a political party, says the Union focuses on the real challenges facing the territory.
It says these include the economic development and social justice.
The group's statement says it welcomes the judiciary for at last showing its willingness to pursue political leaders for alleged wrongdoing.
It also notes that the To Tatou Aia - the list which won most votes in the first round - is made up of eight parties and in itself the party of instability.
The weekend vote is for 54 seats in the assembly as three seats were already decided in the first round.
