The prime minister of Vanuatu is to make an official visit to New Zealand for the first time.
Ham Lini will begin a three-day visit on Sunday.
New Zealand's Prime Minister, Helen Clark, says the two leaders will discuss shared interests such as the seasonal workers scheme which employs 300 Vanuatu workers in Central Otago and Hawke's Bay.
Mr Lini has been the prime minister of Vanuatu since 2004.
