Fiji's interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, has taken over as the sole spokesman for the army.
Fiji Live online says Commodore Bainimarama said all public relations work regarding the military should pass through him instead of the previous spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Sitiveni Qiliho.
The move is understood to have followed a series of stories in the media purported to have been made by the senior military officer, which were then followed by subsequent denials.
