A prosecution lawyer in Samoa has decided to call the evidence of a three year old girl in an alleged indecent assault case against a 19-year-old man.

The evidence is to be heard before the chief justice, Patu Falefatu Sapolu.

The case was heard last week, when the accused, who was babysitting the girl at the time, changed his plea and then denied the main parts of the police summary of facts relating to the alleged crime.

The presiding judge has advised the accused that he is defending himself and without a lawyer to provide evidence to support his denial.
