A New Caledonian man is to appear in court for causing a brawl on an internal flight.
The Nouvelles Caledoniennes newspaper says the man was drunk and assaulted a flight attendant shortly after the Air Caledonie plane had taken off from Noumea to the Ile of Pines.
The man was restrained by his cousin but the incident prompted the pilot to return to Noumea.
The paper says the airline was forced to accommodate the passengers who could not complete their flight.
