Papua New Guinea's Telikom company is angry that the World Bank has agreed to support the multi national company, Digicel.

A branch of the World Bank has teamed up with Digicel who are spreading their mobile phone services into rural Papua New Guinea, to lend Digicel about 40 million US dollars.

The Post Courier quotes Telikom as saying that it doesn't understand why the World Bank aims to destroy indigenous telecommunication companies, while it supports and enriches its first world counterparts.
