Fiji to get South Korean car assembly plant

Fiji's interim prime minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, says a South Korean company plans to set up a car assembly plant and a resort in Fiji.

Commodore Bainimarama has told Fijlive that he visited the company, CT&T Co Ltd's car assembly plant in Dangjin, South Korea.

CT&T Co Ltd's president and CEO Young Gi Lee is also planning to build a resort with 120 villas in Tavua Island in the Mamanuca Group.

Mr Lee reportedly plans to start the project in July.
