Fiji's Media Council chairman says the interim Prime Minister made it clear that details over why Mr Hannah was deported last Friday won't be publicly revealed.
Daryl Tarte says he's not sure what else the organisation can do beyond making a formal complaint to the interim administration.
Mr Tarte declined to discuss the meeting in detail, except to say an explanation wasn't forthcoming.
"The Prime Minister has made it quite clear that they will not, he will not elaborate on the reasons for the deportation, except to say that there was a breach of national security. He will not explain what specifically that breach was. But by implication I understand it to mean it's the general editorial policy of the Fiji Times."
