Four found guilty of destruction in latest trial of Tongan rioters

A jury in Tonga has found three men guilty on charges related to the riots of 2006, while four men were aquitted.

The Matangi Tonga website reports the three men found guilty are Talifolau Letisi, Helonimo Ngauamo and Tavake Tafuna.

The jury found them guilty on multiple charges, including the destruction of the Shoreline building, and damage to the Duty Free Shop and the Nuku'alofa Club.

They are due to be sentenced in early July.
