The Fiji women's organisation, Soqosoqo Vakamarama, has criticised claims by the SDL party that the policies introduced by the interim administration have resulted in the steep increase in poverty.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Adi Finau Tabakaucoro said the cause of negative growth is dependent on the previous year's economic activity.

The SDL General Assembly put together 16 resolutions one of which states that the interim government's policies promotes poverty by driving away investors and tourists.
