The Samoa Lands and Titles Court in Samoa has completed hearing evidence from the 51 parties involved in a dispute over the Malietoa paramount title and will deliver a decision on the 18th of June.
The case was completed yesterday after hearing final submissions with one party withdrawing its support for, Papalii Fa'amausili Moli, on whom the title was bestowed ten months ago.
The majority of those opposing Papalii Fa'amausili Moli as the holder of the title, have asked the court to declare last year's bestowal void.
They want, instead, for the three clans under the title, Malietoa Talavou, Malietoa Gatuitasina, and Malietoa Moli, to discuss and choose who the new holder.
